Blue Bell

Dress - 'Glamorous' at ASOS
Shoes & Bag - Primark
Blazer - New Look
Necklace - Vintage
Watch - Marks and Spencer

Hello everyone!

Hope you've all been able to enjoy the indian summer we've had the last few days. I couldn't quite believe it when I was sitting on the grass at the park in bare legs so close to October! It's absolutely lovely to get one last injection of sunshine and vitamin D, before the cold winter hits.

I want to show you all my current favourite dress. The 'favourite dress' award usually changes a lot,  and very frequently, (especially since I have a LOT of dresses.... Haha) but for the last month or so, this has been it. I was instantly drawn to the bright, blue colour and unique floral pattern, when I first saw it on the ASOS website. The dress has a loose, yet flattering shape, which makes it versatile for any occasion. Whether I'm heading out for dinner with a black blazer, or heading down to the park with a denim jacket, it's perfect. I have a feeling it will stay being my 'favourite' dress for a long, long time! :)

I'm off to enjoy the sun now!

More soon,

Helen

Limited Edition

Jumper and shoes - Marks and Spencer A/W'13

Hello all,

So, quick post to tell you all how much I am loving the A/W range at Marks and Spencer this year! This isn't one of those sponsored posts or anything like that, I genuinely really like their collection at the moment. I had a little wander in last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised at all the lovely autumnal clothes on display. I was also pleased with the two items I walked away with, one being a ridiculously cozy jumper, printed with bright, red and black leopard print... Trust me, it's much nicer than it sounds! And I have added a new addition to my shoe collection, with these shiny beauts! My inner magpie was instantly drawn to the golden heel shining on the shelf and my mind was made up when the shoe fitted like a dream. Can't wait to show these off, expect an outfit post appearance very soon! :)

Leather & Lace.

Top - Charity Shop
Lace Skirt - Primark
Belt - Charity Shop
Fringed Bag - H&M
Shoes-  New Look

Hey lovelies

It's been a busy week from catching up with friends, to working the last final shifts at my work... I'm finally free from the hands of employment! I left my job, which for the majority of the summer, became my second home.. not in a good way! I've decided that when I start my fourth year of uni in about 2 weeks time, I really won't have time for a job and uni is the main priority. This is the big year, heads down, hard work and all  that...

This outfit is one of my favourites. I picked up the top in a charity shop in Denmark and absolutely love it. From the flattering cap sleeves to the subtle shine in the material, it provides the perfect smart/casual tee which can either be dressed up or down. I've paired with a staple of mine: a classic black lace skirt. You can never go wrong with one of these and they literally go with everything. I got this one from Primark and it was an absolute bargain! Speaking of bargains, I spotted this gorgeous bag in H+M last week and knew I had to have it. I'd been looking for a decent fringed bag for ages and when I spotted this one, it was perfect!

In other exciting news: My best friend, Georgina and her lovely boyfriend Jamie got engaged yesterday!!! They are currently travelling around Europe and Jamie popped the question whilst in Hallstad, Austria, next to some tranquil mountains and lakes... how romantic! I'm so happy for both of them and wish them all the luck in the world - Can't wait till they are home and we can celebrate!! Happy, happy days!!

There's No-one That Knows Me Like You Do.

Dress + Bag - Topshop
Necklace - Belonged to my Grandma
Belt - Vintage
Shoes - H&M

 Hello lovely people!

So, last night it officially became Winter. I had to put on my first pair of Primark fluffy socks and throw three blankets onto my bed to keep myself warm - It was freezing! Ensuring I was kept cozy eventually backfired when I woke up at about 5am a big sweaty mess. I think I've been a bit too used to all the lovely sun we've had this year, and when the slightest cold wind hits, I seize up and throw anything remotely warm looking on. Currently sitting at my computer wearing a jumper and a scarf... Maybe a little bit extreme... haha I'm Scottish. I should be used to this!

In other news, I'd like to introduce to you all the lovely collie dog, Loki. One of the sweetest dogs I know, and also one of the most photogenic. She may be making more appearances in the future... She can pose better than me!  :)

Trying to ignore the fact that I'm going to be starting my fourth year at uni in less than 3 weeks... Scary times!! More focused in buying new stationary and planning outfits, than actually figuring out what books I need to buy and notes I should get round to downloading. You'd think by fourth year my priorities would be right... ;)

Anyways, thought I'd share the song I can't seem to get out my head these days, and I have ASOS to blame... or thank even ...

 Enjoy! :)

Summer Daze

Dress, Shoes + Bag - Topshop
Necklace + Belt - Vintage

Hello Loves!

I'm still trying to enjoy the dying Summer sun whilst it lasts! I'm back to work now though and typically, I've been working through some lovely days... Hey ho, gotta think of the money! :) Speaking of, I'm wearing a beaut of a dress that I picked up in the Topshop sale for a bargain-licious £15, and I even got extra off with my student card... Oh Topshop, how you make me happy!

My best friend is currently travelling around Europe with her boyfriend, making me insanely jealous and wishing I was doing the same thing. I can't wait to hear all their stories and see their amazing photos, which I know they will have! I've never been interrailing but it's definitely something I'd love to do in the future, and I know it would be such a great experience to visit so many different countries and experience different cultures. Have any of your been backpack travelling? Tell me your stories! :)
