Velvet // I know what you're thinking - velvet for A/W? Groundbreaking. But, hear me out. Those that may have already read the huge September issue of Vogue will know that velvet is going to be a big trend for the season ahead. This is not too surprising as velvet has always been a prominent fabric for autumn/ winter. Many celebrities and stars have already been one step ahead of the game, incorporating velvet into their summer wardrobes, gearing them up for the transition into the colder, darker months. I'm a huge fan of velvet - I think it stems back to the very early days of attending birthday parties or Sunday school lunches at church. My mum would always dress me in my 'Sunday best' which was always a vintage style black velvet dress with white lace peter pan collar. The dress was matched with cute little T-bar sandals and white frilly socks. I can definitely see where my love for fashion came from, as this sounds like something I would wear today.
Anyways, I wanted to share some of my favourite velvet looks over the last few months:
These ladies are rocking the velvet trend and I can't wait to see more looks throughout the A/W months. Are you a fan of velvet? Which outfit is your favourite? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
More soon,
Helen

Bohemian-inspired fashion with floral prints, fringe details, and a relaxed silhouette was also a significant trend. Flowy maxi dresses, peasant blouses, and suede pieces captured the boho spirit of the season.
